The Music Run by CIMB is Malaysia’s premier 5km running series with speakers lining the entire ‘SoundTrack’ run course, culminating in the world’s best finish line festival.
It’s an energising and fun event that brings young people together, irrespective of gender and race, for a one-of-a-kind safe, clean, alcohol-free and healthy experience.
Launched in 2014 by Fresh Events Global, The Music Run’s mission is to inspire people to live the beat and lead more active lifestyles. To date, it has been experienced by over 300,000 runners across 40 events in 13 countries.

The Run Pack Collection is where you collect all your race entitlements, including your event T-Shirt, drawstring bag and race bib (which you need to show to enter The Music Run by CIMB 2024 event).
This year’s Run Pack Collection location is Tiffin At The Yard, Sentul Depot, Sentul West, 51100 Kuala Lumpur. Just Maps, Grab or Waze to “Tiffin At The Yard” and you will find us.
You will be able to collect your Run Pack on the 5th, 6th and 7th of January 2024. Details on exact times will be announced nearer to the date.
A friend or family member is able to collect your Run Pack on your behalf by presenting a copy of your Registration Confirmation and ID details.
You can also opt for RPC delivery at the time of ticket purchase.
Simply choose the Run Pack delivery add-on option (paid) at time of ticket purchase and your Run Pack will be sent by courier to your specified address.
No, The Music Run is a fun run (and party), so there is no timing on the run. Take your time and enjoy the music with your friends on the route!

Multiple ticket purchase is possible via the event ticketing platform (maximum of 10 (ten) tickets per transaction).

Participants under the age of 18 who wish to join The Music Run by CIMB 2024 Kuala Lumpur must obtain parental or legal guardian consent by via the Terms and Conditions waiver that is part of the registration process. We are committed to making the Music Run 2024 a memorable and safe experience for everyone involved.
Yes, children are welcome. Please note the following:
- Event tickets for Children under the age of 5 (five) years are FREE.
- Children under the age of 5 (five) years will be provided with a bib for identification at Run Pack Collection (RPC). Please bring your child with you to RPC for age verification purposes. The Organiser reserves the right to request proof of age.
- Children under the age of 5 (five) years do NOT receive a Run Pack.
- All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during the Event. Accompanying parents or guardians must have purchased an Event Ticket for themselves.
- Children over the age of 6 (six) years are required to purchase an Event Ticket and will receive a Run Pack.
- Yes! We welcome corporate teams and can arrange a bulk order of tickets. Please email [email protected] for more information. The minimum order size is 15 (fifteen).

Personal details – including t-shirt sizes – cannot be changed after registration, sorry.
We want to ensure that everybody has a safe and fun experience on the run route, therefore we have taken the decision to remove the ‘race’ category this year. Start waves will be carefully managed to ensure all Music Runners get the opportunity to complete the run route as they wish, be it running, jogging, walking or dancing!
We encourage all participants to travel to the event in the most environmentally-friendly manner possible. The nearest LRT station is located at the National Stadium at Bukit Jalil.
Plenty of car parking is also available at the event venue. If you are driving, please consider car-sharing.
The Music Run by CIMB is a rain or shine event but if extreme weather does occur, the event will be postponed until it is safe to continue. Please follow instructions provided by the Race Officials.
Your event bib is your access to the event. Without an event bib, you will not be allowed to enter the venue.
A water station will be available on the Run course and at the finish line.
Plenty of Food & Beverage options are available for purchase within the Music village throughout the event.
The ‘SoundTrack’ run course is lined with speakers so you can run to the rhythm of the beat from start to finish. It’s an immersive running experience like no other! The Official Race Day Playlist will be shared on our website and Facebook page after the event.
It wouldn’t be a Music Run without a big focus on music! An important part of The Music Run by CIMB is the Finish Line Festival, featuring awesome beats and plenty of music inspired entertainment. Please refer to our website for details of the talent performing on the Main Stage. One thing’s for sure, there will be plenty of entertainment before, during and after the run!
Multiple food and beverage options are available for purchase within the Music Village.
Please note that The Music Run by CIMB operates a strict no-alcohol policy. Any persons found with alcohol will be removed from the venue by security staff.
